Reed I Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team at the Colchester branch. This role is crucial for supporting the service team and ensuring the efficient operation of the Service office. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining effective communication between customers and technicians, particularly in the repair and maintenance of Agricultural, Horticultural, and Crane machinery.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the efficient running of the Service office and contribute to its overall profitability.
  • Maintain effective and accurate communication between customers and technicians.
  • Manage customer accounts, build new relationships, and handle a wide range of customer expectations.
  • Raise job cards and invoices as required.
  • Complete various service department administrative duties including time sheets, job cards, and warranty administration.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service and handle customer and colleague interactions diplomatically.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in raising job cards and handling invoices.
  • Previous experience within a service department is advantageous.
  • Background in the Horticultural, Agricultural, or automotive industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexibly in both office and workshop environments and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and cash handling.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
