Prime Appointments is currently searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Nursery Assistant to join our diverse client's team located on the outskirts of Colchester, on a temporary basis.
Own transport is required due to the location
Garden Nursery Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily nursery tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, and propagating plants
- Monitor plant health, identifying any signs of pests or diseases and taking appropriate action
- Assist with stock management, including inventory tracking, restocking, and rotating plants
- Support with the loading and unloading of deliveries, as well as the preparation of customer orders
The Ideal Garden Nursery Assistant:
- A genuine interest in plants and gardening, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Strong work ethic and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, outdoor environment
- Previous experience in horticulture or a similar role is a plus, but not essential as training will be provided
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 - 16:30
- 12.21 p/hour
