Are you an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Finance Manager to join a growing and values-driven financial services organisation based in Colchester.

In this pivotal role, you will support the Financial Controller in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with commentary

  • Prepare and submit FCA regulatory returns

  • Assist with year-end financial statements and manage the external audit process

  • Review and approve purchase invoices, payroll, expenses, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Maintain effective cash flow and expense monitoring

  • Support the regulatory reporting framework under IFPR, including quarterly returns

  • Act as deputy for the Financial Controller when required

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

  • Five or more years of experience in a finance team

  • Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles

  • Proficient in financial software and Excel; experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred

  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and reporting skills

  • Confident using PowerPoint for presenting data

  • Previous experience in a regulated UK financial services environment is advantageous
