Are you an experienced Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking an exciting new role from September 2025?

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of Business and Maths for a forward-thinking secondary school in the Colchester area of Essex.

This full-time role involves delivering engaging lessons in Business at Key Stage 4 and Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both subjects, contribute to whole-school development, and demonstrate a strong commitment to student achievement and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the KS4 Business curriculum, including planning schemes of work, managing resources, and tracking student progress.

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Business and Maths that foster understanding and academic success.

  • Collaborate with subject leaders to ensure an engaging and inclusive curriculum.

  • Support school-wide assessment practices and contribute to pupil progress reporting.

  • Provide pastoral support in coordination with well-being and character education leads.

  • Participate in co-curricular activities and whole-school duties as required.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain high teaching standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and QTS (or equivalent).

  • Proven track record of successful classroom teaching.

  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills.

  • Commitment to safeguarding, student well-being, and inclusive education.

  • Flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.
