JobPurpose:Toensurethatthecompliancethreadrunsthroughallareasofthebusiness,therebyensuringproductismanufacturedwiththehighestsafetyandcompliancestandardsToensurethatcustomerandlegalrequirementsforfoodsafety,health&safetyandenvironmentalconsiderationsarerecordedinadocumentedbusinesssystemthatisimplementedandunderstoodwithinthebusiness.

RoleAccountabilities:

  • Ensurerelevantstandards-HACCPbasedasappropriate-arecommunicated,understoodandappliedtomeetFoodSafety,qualityandlegalstandardsaswellascustomerspecifiedrequirements.
  • Effectivelymanagescommunicationonalltechnical,Health&Safetyandenvironmentalmatterswithcustomers(internalandexternal)andsupplierstodeveloprelationshipsandensurethatbusinessopinionisconsideredandrespected.
  • ProvidestechnicalandHealth&SafetyinputintoformulationandagreementofoverallbusinessstrategyincludingbudgetandPIPinitiatives.
  • Throughpersonalandteamobjectives,deliverstechnical,Health&Safetyelementsofthebusinessstrategy.
  • IdentifyandimplementcomplianceKPIs(includingbutnotlimitedtoFoodSafety,HealthandSafetyandEnvironmental)tomonitorstandardsanddrivethebusinessforwardthroughcontinuousimprovement.
  • EnsurethattheSustainabilityagendaisacommonthreadthatrunsthroughoperationalactivityandstrategiesacrossthebusiness.
  • Providethepracticalsupporttooperationalmanagementtodriveacomplianceculture.
  • Teamdevelopmentensurethattheappropriateteamstructuresareinplace,resourcedwithstaffwhoenabletheneedsofthebusiness,aswellasreflectingcompanyvalues
  • Providespecialistknowledgetoenablethebusinesstoexploitmanufacturing,NPDandcommercialadvantagewhilstensuringtherequiredstandardsoffoodsafety,quality,legality,Health&Safetyandenvironmentalfactorsaremet.
  • Ensuretherelevanthealth,safetyandenvironmentalstandardsarebothimplemented,anddocumentedinarecognisableandunderstoodrecordingsystem.
  • UnderstandtheDieteticrequirementsfromcustomersandrelevantlegislation.LiaisewiththeDietitiantoascertaintheimpactonthebusinessandwhatcompliancestandardsthebusinessrequirestoimplementthese.
  • Ensuresthatasafeworkingenvironmentexistsforallemployeeswithinthebusiness,andthatasaminimum,thestandardssetoutintheSHEmanualaremet.
  • Compliancestrategyformulatesalivingstrategythatreflectsandenablestheoverallbusinessstrategy.Ensurethatthisstrategyhasbeenconvertedintoappropriatecomplianceplansthatareclearlyunderstoodandownedbythestaffateverylevelofthebusiness.
  • ProvideexpertinputintotheoverallcompliancestrategyaspartoftheSeniorManagementTeamChangeManagementwherenecessaryhelpstodeliverschangemanagementprogrammeswithinthebusinesstoimprovebusinesscompliance.
  • MeasurementandControlensurethattheseKPIsareusedatalllevelsthroughthecomplianceteamtoimprovebusinessperformance.
