We're recruiting for a night shift Packing Line Operative to join a well-established food production site just outside Colchester. This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity offering full training, job stability, and the chance to develop new skills within a supportive team environment.
About the Role
As a Packing Line Operative, you'll be an important part of the production process, ensuring food products are packed to a high standard and ready for dispatch. You'll work closely with your team to keep the line running smoothly and maintain excellent quality.
Key duties of the Packing Line Operative - Night Shift include:
Preparing and loading ingredients onto the line
Carrying out quality checks and grading products
Packing finished goods and stacking pallets for dispatch
Maintaining a clean and safe work area in line with food safety standards
Assisting with general production tasks as required
What We're Looking For in the Packing Line Operative - Night Shift;
A reliable, hardworking team player
Previous food manufacturing and production experience preferred (but not essential - training provided)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Flexibility to work occasional extra hours when needed
Own transport (essential due to location)
Shift & Pay
Nights: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay: 12.62 per hour
Optional weekend overtime (Saturday or Sunday, 7:00 PM - 2:00 AM) at enhanced rates
Free on-site parking
Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term prospects
