An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join a well-established consultancy in Colchester. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to begin their career in acoustics, with the chance to contribute to a wide range of building acoustics, environmental noise, and infrastructure projects.
As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will assist with surveys, acoustic modelling, and data analysis, while preparing technical reports under the guidance of experienced consultants. You will benefit from a structured training programme, full mentoring, and support towards membership of the Institute of Acoustics. Duties for the role of Graduate Acoustic Consultant include:
Supporting environmental noise and building acoustics surveys
Assisting with acoustic modelling and technical analysis
Preparing technical reports for clients and planning authorities
Liaising with project teams under supervision
Contributing to the successful delivery of live UK projects
Skills and experience required for the role of Graduate Acoustic Consultant:
Degree in Acoustics, Acoustical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Interest in environmental noise, building acoustics, and sound insulation
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-focused approach
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
