Due to continued growth, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our Colchester team.

The Role
You will take a lead role in managing the commercial aspects of our projects from tender to final account. Working across multiple sectors, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, valuations, and cost reports.

• Administer contracts, including change control, variations, and final accounts.

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.

• Undertake site visits to review progress and assess works.

• Negotiate and procure subcontractor and supplier packages.

• Provide accurate financial forecasting and risk management.

• Support the tender process with cost planning and commercial insight.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

• Experience in one or more of our sectors: healthcare, education, MoJ, or roofing is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial processes.

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
