We're urgently seeking a reliable and flexible School Cook to cover kitchen duties at a primary school in Colchester during SATs week. This is a short but vital assignment, and we need someone who can hit the ground running and adapt to changes in the daily routine.

?? Role Overview:

Prep and cook hot school meals for students
Service time: approx. 12:00 - 12:45 (may be delayed due to SATs testing)
Kitchen clean-down and close by 14:00
Support from a Kitchen Assistant (11:00-14:00)

?? Induction:

Ideally available Monday 12th May to shadow the Catering Manager and learn the kitchen setup.

?? What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in school or commercial kitchens
Able to adapt quickly and manage fluctuating lunch times due to SATs
Positive, proactive attitude with good communication skills

?? Requirements (must-have):

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Safeguarding training
Enhanced DBS check (up-to-date and valid)
