Support Early Learners in a Specialist Setting as a Learning Support Assistant!

GSL Education is seeking patient, nurturing, and adaptable Learning Support Assistants to join dedicated Primary SEN provisions in Colchester. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs as a Learning Support Assistant
• Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities and behaviour support
• Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and sensory needs
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and helping them achieve small-step progress
• Maintaining a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment as a Learning Support Assistant

You Should Have:
• Experience working with children with SEN in a primary or specialist setting as a Learning Support Assistant
• A calm, caring, and flexible approach to support
• Good understanding of early learning and SEN strategies
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
