As a Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, you will:
- Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
- Assess and address communication impacts on daily life, providing appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with individuals and their social networks to overcome communication barriers
- Develop management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessary
- Provide training to staff and the social networks of service users
- Support eating, drinking, and swallowing needs under supervision
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and complete reports
- Contribute to service and organisational development

The ideal candidate for the Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist position will have:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Dysphagia competencies
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI.
- Ability to manage dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
- At least 18 months of qualified experience in relevant neurological settings.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working within a multidisciplinary team.
