Voids Business Support Officer

Rate of Pay: 15 - 20 per hour depending on experience.

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break. 37 hours per week. Onsite full time until training is completed. Once training is completed, the role will move to hybrid with a minimum days expected onsite.

Location: Wenham Depot, Colchester, CO7 6PS

Duration: Temporary basis, 6 month duration with reviewal to extend.

The successful candidate will need to have a full driving licence and access to own transport as there are no public transport links to this site.

Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Councils are going through an exciting period of change, with a new operating model being developed for the Direct Labour Organisation within the Housing Directorate.
The Direct Labour Organisation oversees the maintenance of housing repairs and voids with some planned work activities and is supported by several contractors. The DLO has its own trade team.


About the role Business Support Officer:
Reporting to the Customer and Business Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing business support to the Building Services DLO for the effective delivery of all associated works.

What we are looking for in our Business Support Officer:
You will:

* Provide highly effective and innovative business support to the Building Services DLO within Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils (BMSDC).

Requirements:
* NVQ 3 /ONC level or equivalent level of knowledge through experience.
* A good standard of education with a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at level C or above and the ability to demonstrate suitable work experience necessary for delivering the role.
* Experience of having previously worked within a Repairs and Maintenance environment is desirable.

  • Valid UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle.
