Job title: Production Operative

Job type: Temporary - Ongoing

Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour (Day) and 12.58 per hour (Night), Post parity: 13.62 (Day & Night) per hour (post 12 weeks)

Location: Coleford, GL16 8JB

Shifts timings:

8 hours pattern: Morning: 06:00 - 14:00, Afternoon: 14:00 - 22:00 & Night: 22:00 - 06:00 (rotational)

12 hours pattern: Morning: 06:00 - 18:00 & Evening: 18:00 - 06:00

*Must be flexible for all shifts & patterns*

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective production of quality products
  • Follows all standard operating procedures and adhere to PPE requirements
  • Some manual lifting required
  • Preparing, operating and cleaning of packaging equipment.
  • Carrying out on-line quality checks to the required standards on finished products, components and syrups.
  • Flexibility to work within cross-functional teams on any aspect of the packaging operation subject to production requirements and appropriate training.

Experience:

  • Previous production operative experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Any type of experience working with food or drink is also beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications:

GCSE in English and Maths

Skills & behaviours:

  • Must be flexible to work as per the shift pattern, have a good attitude, a desire to do the work, and the ability to get to the site.
  • Should have excellent communication skills (writing, speaking & reading).
  • Basic computer skills
