This will be an interesting and varied role where you will specialise in the design and development of mechanical products and systems for the process industry.
You'll be responsible for taking projects from concept through to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for process industry applications.
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, and clients to ensure designs meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and support prototype testing and validation.
- Continuously improve existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical design within the process industry or industrial applications would be beneficial (e.g. pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment).
- Strong proficiency in CAD software
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
- Project management experience or exposure to client-facing roles.
