Autograph Recruitment is partnering with a leading bespoke systems manufacturer based in Coleford, known for delivering innovative solutions globally. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated buyer to further their career in a dynamic, engineering-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have experience in a previous purchasing role and be able to meet the business's needs by effectively managing and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring the timely supply of critical and high-value materials to satisfy customer requirements.
Responsibilities of Technical Buyer:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships aligned with company standards.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Raise and manage purchase orders with a focus on best procurement practices.
- Handle contracts, confidentiality agreements, invoice queries, and supplier negotiations.
- Support tendering processes and assist bid teams with accurate lead time and product data.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
- Skilled in cost analysis and budget management.
- ERP system knowledge
- Strong IT skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent team collaboration and independent working capabilities.
