Redfish are excited to be partnering with a tier 1 main contractor on a major highways scheme.

This is a �282 million pound project which is set to last 5 years and it will be improving junction 6 of the M42. They are looking for a Section Engineer to m

anage the subcontracts packages for earthworks, drainage, concrete works and steelwork.

Key responsibilities

Manage, supervise, and train and mentor the site team to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
�Review designs and raise technical queries to the design teams
Produce a 3 month look ahead for your section of works
Ensure your team keeps an accurate and detailed site record for all your works.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Degree level qualification in a civil engineering allied subject or HND in civil engineering and vocational training in engineering.

Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
Preferred experience

Excavation of works (HSG47, managing permits to dig)
Lifting operations (CPCS A61, lifting appointed person)
Temporary works (Supervisor, designer or coordinator, formal training)
Concrete works (prior experience as a site-based engineer)
Structural steelworks (prior experience as a site-based engineer
