My client who are a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / Certification technician to join their team due to continued growth and expansions.

Welding Inspector Requirements:
- Time served through a recognised welding and fabrication apprenticeship with a strong track record working within an engineering background;
- Previous experience of inspection;
- Inspection qualifications such as PCN Level 2/CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector and PCN Level 2 in Penetrant inspector
- Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings;
- Experience of working with stainless steel and mild steel components;
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and working to tight targets and deadlines;

Welding Inspector Duties:
Â
- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication tasks in line with industry standards, drawing on experience gained through a recognised apprenticeship and engineering background.
- Conduct detailed inspections of fabricated components, using knowledge of industry inspection standards and qualifications such as PCN Level 2, CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector, and PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing.
- Accurately interpret and work from complex engineering drawings to ensure components meet precise specifications and tolerances.
- Handle and fabricate components using stainless steel and mild steel materials, ensuring all work meets required structural and aesthetic standards.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight production schedules and project deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Maintain a high level of organisation, focus, and attention to detail in all aspects of work to support the company's commitment to precision and excellence.
- Utilise strong numeracy and literacy skills for measurement, documentation, and reporting tasks, as well as clear communication with team members and supervisors.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, including attendance at academic courses, to stay updated with industry practices and standards.
- Strong organisational skills with a good level of concentration;
- Good eye for detail;
- Excellent numeracy, literacy skills & communication skills;
- A willingness to attend academic training courses.
