About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Production Technician to join a specialist manufacturer of high-precision geophysical equipment, supplying bespoke tools to clients around the world. Based in Glan Conwy, North Wales, this role is ideal for someone with a mix of electrical, electronics, and mechanical skills who enjoys working in a hands-on and varied environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of precision tools and components

  • Fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting of returned equipment

  • Functional, performance, and reliability testing of products

  • Calibration of data acquisition tools

  • Use of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers

  • Creating test procedures and maintaining quality control documentation

  • Assisting with the packaging and preparation of customer orders

  • Liaising with the manufacturing team as needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Practical mechanical skills with attention to detail

  • Solid electrical and electronics skills, including soldering

  • Competence with interpreting wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings

  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and fault-finding

  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills

  • Comfortable using MS Office and other basic IT tools

  • Flexible and proactive attitude with a willingness to adapt to business needs

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree, HND, or completed apprenticeship in a relevant engineering field

  • OR 3+ years of experience in a technician role with transferable technical skills

  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO9001 is advantageous
