Job Overview:

We're looking for a passionate and driven Quality and Compliance Specialist to join an expanding Quality department. This hands-on role is vital in ensuring products meet high standards and regulatory requirements across the value chain, with a strong focus on food safety and chemical compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the site lead for product and regulatory compliance, including food safety and chemical regulations.

  • Coordinate quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives across production.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Lab Technician.

  • Support and maintain certifications including BRC-GS and ISO9001.

  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits from customers and certification bodies.

  • Lead customer complaint investigations, ensuring timely and thorough resolution.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, test protocols, and product specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including suppliers, customers, Business Managers, and Process Managers.

  • Provide insightful reports on quality metrics and improvement recommendations.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in Quality. As well as a working knowledge and experience of compliance. The ideal candidate will be confident in audit environments and passionate about compliance and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability in managing quality systems ensuring they are business enhancing

  • Experience of providing regulatory support to the business

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capable of coordinating and motivating people

  • Sound commercial awareness

  • A proven track record of dealing with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders including face to face contact

  • IT Skills - such as. spreadsheets and statistical packages

  • Report writing experience

  • Problem solving training
