Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients based in Congleton!

Youll be responsible for the installation and maintenance of plant and equipment to a recognised standard, supporting operational efficiency while upholding the highest health and safety standards.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Perform routine electrical maintenance and servicing on facilities, machinery, and equipment
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Install and support new electrical systems, adhering to manufacturer and regulatory standards
  • Provide out-of-hours support for urgent repairs when reasonably required
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding installation and repair plans
  • Support procurement for maintenance consumables and equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement preventative solutions
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, following Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work protocols
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and in line with training provided

Hours

Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:00pm (Fridays off)

Pay

£32,000 - £42,000 per annum (Dependant on Experience)

Skills/Experience Required

  • Electrical engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds - 18th Edition, BTEC, or equivalent)
  • Ideally 4+ years of electrical maintenance experience
  • Experience in sourcing materials and liaising with suppliers
  • Calibration of electrical assets
  • Ability to design and read installation schematics and circuit diagrams
  • Able to work independently and solve problems proactively
  • Testing and inspection competence to IEE standards
