ASD School is seeking passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants and Sports Coaches to join our team in September. Our school is a specialist setting supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students' needs
Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions for students with ASD
Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Assist in developing students' communication, social, and emotional skills
Encourage participation in sports and physical activities (for sports coach roles)
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
Must-Have Skills:
GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Experience working with children or young people (preferably in an educational or care setting)
Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience supporting children with ASD or other SEN
Knowledge of behaviour de-escalation strategies
Experience leading sports, PE activities, or after-school clubs
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching & Learning (e.g. Level 2/3 TA)
First Aid or Team Teach training
Experience working in specialist schools
