ASD School is seeking passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants and Sports Coaches to join our team in September. Our school is a specialist setting supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students' needs

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions for students with ASD

  • Help create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Assist in developing students' communication, social, and emotional skills

  • Encourage participation in sports and physical activities (for sports coach roles)

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents



Must-Have Skills:

  • GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English

  • Experience working with children or young people (preferably in an educational or care setting)

  • Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities



Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD or other SEN

  • Knowledge of behaviour de-escalation strategies

  • Experience leading sports, PE activities, or after-school clubs



Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching & Learning (e.g. Level 2/3 TA)

  • First Aid or Team Teach training

  • Experience working in specialist schools
