Job Title: Commercial Manager

Location: Consett, County Durham

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time  

Our client is a successful subcontract engineering business providing precision machined components across a wide range of sectors. They are currently looking to strengthen their team with the recruitment of a Commercial Manager to be based in at their site in the North East.

The Role of the Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves key account management, development of new accounts, and strategic business development. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for clients regarding commercial and contractual matters.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage key accounts through on-site visits, phone calls, and regular client meetings.

  • Compile detailed and accurate quotations by calculating cycle times, material and subcontract costs, and tooling.

  • Develop new accounts by identifying potential clients and fostering long-term relationships.

  • Plan, attend, and exhibit at industry exhibitions to promote the company’s services and products.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for business development and strategy to senior management.
