PDI Engineer

Location: Corby

Salary/Bonuses: £20 per hour

Neos Engineering are partnered with a leading provider in the construction plant industry, known for delivering high-quality equipment and support services across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a skilled PDI Engineer to their team.

The Role

As a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnostic checks, and basic maintenance on new and used construction plant equipment before it is delivered to clients. You’ll ensure all machinery is tested, compliant, and ready for use, supporting the company’s reputation for reliability and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting pre-delivery inspections on construction plant machinery

Diagnosing basic faults and ensuring functionality

Completing inspection reports and ensuring compliance with quality standards

Working closely with the workshop and delivery teams

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience working with construction plant or heavy equipment, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role (PDI, plant fitter, workshop engineer)

Familiarity with construction or agricultural machinery

Good diagnostic and mechanical skills

Ability to work independently and within a team
