HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights
Taskmaster are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver for our client based in Corby.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and assist the Transport Managers to ensure all functions of the operation is running smoothly and efficiently.
Ensure the vehicle is always legal and roadworthy - all daily checks are completed in line with the Daily Vehicle Check Sheet and in line with the 'Guide to maintaining road worthiness'. To ensure any vehicle defects are reported.
Complete manual and pallet pump truck work with certain drop offs.
Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle
Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print.
Report any accidents as soon as possible, follow compliance with the companys accident reporting procedure.
Download your driver tachograph card.
Work within the guidelines of working time regulations. (Road Transport Directive).
Be aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT and bring to the Transport manager attention if necessary.
Ensure that your CPC periodic training hours are maintained and completed within the five-year period.
Skills:
Two years Class 1 driving experience & Valid Class 1 license.
Full valid Driving Licence and Digi-Tacho holder, DQC card holder and Driver CPC.
Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations.
Excellent communication skills.
Numerical and focused on accuracy.
Strong attention to detail.
Night shift
Pay: £18.00 - £19.52 per hour
