A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse & Stock Controller to join a growing SME manufacturing business supplying high-quality products to the retail sector. This is a hands-on role managing all aspects of goods inwards, stock control, picking and packing, and dispatch operations.

With a clear progression path towards a Warehouse Supervisor position, this role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of warehouse operations and grow within a successful and supportive business.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Manage all incoming deliveries, ensuring accurate verification, labelling, and processing of goods.
  • Maintain real-time stock records, update the PO log, and escalate any discrepancies.
  • Oversee stock control, including issuing materials to projects, processing returns, and supporting monthly stocktakes.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and label goods for dispatch, ensuring high standards and correct documentation.
  • Update delivery schedules and track staged deliveries to support production planning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse, including waste management and minor site maintenance.
  • Provide flexible support across factory operations, including moulding, packing, and basic machine operation when needed.

Ideal skills & experience -

  • Valid Forklift Licence and UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Process-oriented with a solid understanding of warehouse safety practices
  • Competent with computers and stock management systems
  • Comfortable using workshop tools (e.g., circular saws, routers, drills)
