We're currently supporting a respected and growing manufacturer in the Corby area in their search for a dedicated Transport Coordinator to join their Customer Support and Logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organised individual with transport and logistics experience, especially in import/export operations.



The Role:

In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations across the UK and Europe, managing bookings and documentation, and providing excellent customer support. You'll join a small but growing team where collaboration and taking initiative are highly valued. This is a busy, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working under pressure with a calm and professional approach.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily transport schedules, including imports and exports.
  • Be the primary contact for both customers and suppliers.
  • Handle transport quotes, bookings, and resolve any related queries.
  • Manage vehicle loading plans and optimise route efficiency.
  • Maintain operational planners and spreadsheets accurately.
  • Support customer order and delivery processes, from enquiry to final resolution.
  • Handle claims, returns, and damage issues professionally.
  • Ensure all transport documentation (including import/export) is correctly completed.
  • Liaise across departments to resolve logistical or customer service issues.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong transport coordination experience, including UK and EU logistics.
  • Solid understanding of import/export documentation and processes.
  • Confident communicator, both over the phone and via email.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Calm, professional and highly organised under pressure.
  • A proactive team player who is also comfortable working independently.


Working Hours:

  • 42 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
