We’re looking for an experienced CNC Turning Operator / CNC Machinist who is passionate about engineering, takes pride in high-quality workmanship, and enjoys working with modern CNC machinery.
The Role – CNC Turning Operator / CNC Machinist
As a CNC Turning Operator you will:

Manufacture precision components to supplied CAD drawings and engineering specifications.

Set and operate CNC lathes ranging from small Puma Lynx machines to large Puma 700 models.

Program CNC lathes using Fanuc controls, including full or part programming as required.
-
Operate multiple machines when required during busy production periods.
-
Maintain accurate tooling and program records for all components produced.
-
Perform first-off and in-process inspection to ensure consistent quality.
-
Provide feedback to Production Engineering to optimise machining methods and cycle times.

Uphold Health & Safety standards and contribute positively to shop-floor safety and housekeeping.
Experience & Skills Required
To be successful as a CNC Turning Operator / CNC Machinist, you’ll ideally have:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working on CNC lathes in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.

Experience with Fanuc control systems (essential).

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Apprentice training or formal mechanical engineering qualifications (advantageous).

CAD/CAM programming experience (beneficial).
-
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
