About the Role
You'll be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and practical DT lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. The department offers a broad curriculum including product design, resistant materials, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver high-quality, hands-on lessons
- Support students in developing design thinking and technical skills
- Contribute to curriculum planning and department projects
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring workshop environment
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
- Experience teaching DT up to GCSE level
- Excellent classroom and workshop management skills
- A passion for practical learning and student development
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
