Technical Architect / Senior Engineer - Defence Digital - Corsham - 700 per day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid | Active SC Clearance Required

We're seeking an experienced Technical Architect / Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership and design assurance within a major MOD Defence Digital transformation programme. This project is modernising Defence communication services, delivering fixed voice, mobile voice, and conferencing capabilities across core Defence networks.

The Role:
As part of a high-performing technical delivery team, you'll be responsible for the design, assurance, and evolution of communication services that support thousands of Defence users. You'll contribute to technology refresh initiatives, manage obsolescence, and ensure new solutions align with MOD policies, standards, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assure technical architectures for voice and collaboration services.
  • Lead technology refresh and obsolescence management activities.
  • Provide governance and design assurance for managed service providers.
  • Support technical evaluations for new procurements (ITTs/ITNs).
  • Produce architecture artefacts, reference designs, and roadmaps aligned with Defence standards.
  • Offer SME input for Non-Standard Service Requests (NSSR) and BAU delivery.

About You:

  • Strong background in enterprise infrastructure, telecoms, or unified communications.
  • Proven experience delivering within Defence or other complex, secure environments.
  • Confident in stakeholder engagement and technical governance.
  • Valid SC clearance required (DV advantageous).
