Based from Cottingham (HU16), working locally with occasional national travel, £18/hr for Approved Electrician (2391), potential to earn around £50,000 with overtime

Smart Power are looking for an Electrician to join the team, working mainly on local jobs across Hull and East Yorkshire. You’ll be carrying out a mix of domestic repairs, installations (including EV chargers), and both commercial and industrial projects. There will be the occasional bit of travel to cover holidays or sickness, but the role is mostly home based.

We provide the full range of electrical services for local homes and businesses, so experience across testing, repairs, and installations is important, particularly EICR testing and EV charger installs.

Pay and Perks

• Starting rate up to £18.00 per hour for Approved Electricians (2391)
• Competitive rate depending on experience if no 2391 but solid EICR background
• Overtime paid at 1.5 times after 40 hours, potential to reach around £50,000 per year
• Fridays often finish early
• Company van (modern caddy size) and fuel card
• Secure parking at HQ
• Optional weekend work

Essentials

• NVQ Level 3
• 18th Edition with AM2
• Full UK driving licence

Nice to Have

• ECS Card
• 2391 Test and Inspect (not essential if experienced in EICRs)
• EV charger experience
• IPAF
• Industrial or commercial experience
