Testing & Installation Electrician (EICR Experience)

Based from Cottingham (HU16) working Locally with some National Travel | £18/hr for Approved Electrician (2391) | Potential to earn ~£50,000 with overtime

Smart Power are hiring an Electrician with EICR/testing experience. Around a third of the job will be testing, with the rest covering domestic repairs and installs (including EV chargers), some commercial and industrial work, plus the occasional away job to cover holidays or sickness.

We’ve built up a strong flow of local work, so you’ll be mainly based in Hull and East Yorkshire – but you’ll need to be flexible enough to help the wider team when needed.

Pay & Perks

• £18.00 per hour for Approved Electricians (2391)
• Competitive rate depending on experience if no 2391 but solid EICR background
• Overtime paid at 1.5x – potential to reach ~£50,000 per year
• Fridays often finish early
• Company van (modern caddy-size) + fuel card – van stored at HQ overnight

• Optional weekend work

Essentials

• NVQ Level 3
• 18th Edition
• 2391 Test & Inspect (not essential if experienced in EICRs)
• Full UK driving licence

• ECS Card
• EV charger experience
• IPAF
• Industrial/commercial experience
