Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading maintenance services provider based in Coulsdon. We’re seeking an experienced Reactive Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations.

In this role, you’ll lead a high-performing team—including helpdesk staff, in-house engineers, and approved subcontractors to deliver both reactive and planned maintenance to the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage helpdesk staff, engineers, and subcontractors—ensuring strong performance and team development
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to urgent maintenance issues, meeting tight SLAs
  • Oversee scheduling and execution of planned maintenance, with accurate reporting
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets while maintaining exceptional service quality
  • Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations and audit standards
  • Act as a key client liaison—resolving issues and providing updates with professionalism

To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior maintenance role, with strong exposure to both reactive and planned maintenance
  • Proven track record managing internal teams and external contractors in a high-demand environment
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with both clients and teams
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
