They are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a temporary to permanent basis. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with accurate financial reporting, budget monitoring, and monthly accounts preparation. - Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. - Support the production of budget monitoring reports and variance analysis for operational departments. - Help maintain accurate financial records in accordance with internal policies and public sector accounting standards. - Contribute to the preparation of monthly reporting packs for senior management and external stakeholders. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. - Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets. - Support audit processes and provide documentation as required. - Work closely with non-finance colleagues to explain financial reports and support decision-making. - Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of financial governance.
