Role Responsibilities
  • Leading audit assignments for owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and specialist clients such as charities and FCA-regulated entities
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients during fieldwork, ensuring exceptional client care and efficient delivery
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and other reporting standards
  • Supporting junior team members on-site, reviewing their work and providing mentoring
  • Collaborating closely with Audit Managers and Directors to ensure audits are delivered within budget and on schedule
  • Identifying risk areas and planning audit strategy accordingly
  • Supporting the team in implementing technical updates and process improvements

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards including FRS 102, with experience in audit from planning through to completion
  • Exposure to a broad range of sectors (experience with groups, charities, or FCA clients is a bonus)
  • An adaptable, team-focused mindset with strong mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for client service
  • A proactive, solutions-led approach to identifying and resolving issues
