Our client, a successful owner-managed business based in the Coventry area, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transactional Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Transactional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the transactional finance function. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of transactional finance operations.

  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Monitor cash flow and manage daily banking activities.

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports related to transactional processes.

  • Reconcile ledgers, process payments, and manage invoice queries.

  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls and processes.

  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

  • Assist in financial planning and forecasting.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Transactional Finance Manager or in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.

  • Proficiency in finance software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
