RM Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation based in Coventry who are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract on a term-time only basis. This role is based onsite Monday – Friday with the hours set at (8am – 4pm).
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and purchase orders
- Prepare BACS runs
- Assist with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
- Raise & place purchase orders
- Credit card reconciliation
- Manage supplier queries
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to the finance function as required
Person Specification
- AAT Qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Access, Sage & Xero)
