About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnostic testing, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant and defence-related equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring products meet original equipment specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess overall condition of products and individual components for fitness and viability.
  • Strip and rebuild units following manufacturer instructions and internal work guidelines.
  • Evaluate commercial viability and availability of parts before commencing work.
  • Complete job cards and update BOM requirements accurately.
  • Test products to OE specification and report any faults promptly.
  • Maintain high-quality standards while working efficiently and adhering to schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including job cards and QHSE records.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in repair and maintenance of military vehicles or similar heavy equipment.
  • Engine and transmission strip and build experience is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of QHSE legislation.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
