Job Title: Workshop Plant Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnostic testing, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant and defence-related equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring products meet original equipment specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess overall condition of products and individual components for fitness and viability.
- Strip and rebuild units following manufacturer instructions and internal work guidelines.
- Evaluate commercial viability and availability of parts before commencing work.
- Complete job cards and update BOM requirements accurately.
- Test products to OE specification and report any faults promptly.
- Maintain high-quality standards while working efficiently and adhering to schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including job cards and QHSE records.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from management as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in repair and maintenance of military vehicles or similar heavy equipment.
- Engine and transmission strip and build experience is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) or willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of QHSE legislation.
- Valid driving licence.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
