We are seeking a Post-Certification Engineer with strong experience in xHEV/BEV propulsion systems, automotive powertrain testing, and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on evaluating and approving post-certification software and hardware changes across hybrid and electric vehicle platforms.

As a key part of the propulsion and compliance function, you will ensure updates meet global EV regulations, including UNECE R100, UNECE R10, FMVSS 305a, GTR 22, ISO 15118, and IEC 61851. You will work closely with engineering, testing, calibration, and quality teams to maintain certification integrity across the full propulsion system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and risk-assess post-certification changes for xHEV/BEV propulsion systems.
  • Analyse software and hardware change requests for regulatory impact.
  • Validate compliance against EV safety, battery, charging and EMC standards.
  • Produce clear technical summaries and calibration change documentation.
  • Work with test, data, calibration and regulatory stakeholders to ensure delivery accuracy.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in automotive powertrain testing, EV/HV propulsion or R&D.
  • Hands-on experience with test data acquisition, analysis and toolchains.
  • Knowledge of EV propulsion regulations: UNECE R100, R10, FMVSS 305a, GTR 22, ISO 15118, IEC 61851.
  • Understanding of battery safety, charging systems, EDU performance or EMC compliance.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical information and present findings clearly.

Desirable

  • Experience with calibration updates, EMC testing or charging systems engineering.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
