You'll be responsible for the ongoing design of intricate jigs, fixtures, and tooling, while working closely with production engineering staff to resolve manufacturing concerns. Design Engineer Duties include -
- Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling in SolidWorks, from simple setups to complex automated systems.
- Develop prototypes (including 3D printed) and support high-volume production tooling.
- Create auxiliary tooling for manufacturing and assembly.
- Manage the full design process from concept to SOP.
- Provide technical support and resolve tooling, quality, and safety issues.
Design Engineer desirable Skills and Experience -
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (parametric modelling, assemblies, 2D drawings).
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and pressure vessels would be an advantage.
- Relevant engineering education and/or training.
