Job Title: Metrologist

Location: Coventry

Shift: Monday-Friday 8.30AM-5PM

Company Overview: One of the largest manufacturers of precision dimensional measuring products across the Aerospace, Automotive, Electronic, Medical sectors and more.

The Metrologist Role:

The job of the Metrologist is to undertake calibration and certification of dimensional measuring equipment and reference masters in line with approved operating procedures whilst maintaining accurate records and keeping up to date with administrative reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting data and recording accurately
  • Using mathematical formulas
  • Writing research papers, reports, reviews and summarising
  • Keeping up to date with developments
  • Liaise with colleagues and clients from around the country and worldwide

Previous Experience:

  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications, apprenticeships and experience
  • Experience of inspection techniques
  • In depth knowledge of precision measuring instruments
  • Able to demonstrate good working knowledge of dimensional metrology
