FRS are recruiting a Bookkeeper for a well established SME based in Central Coventry.
Suitable candidates will have relevant experience within an SME environment & comfortable using Sage - the business are migrating to Xero in the coming months but full training will be given with this. Candidates will also ideally have reported into an external accountancy firm at month / yearend.
This role will cover an array of transactional finance duties & report into the MD. Alongside being able to complete the expected duties, the MD is ideally looking for a personable candidate who will integrate well into their small team.
Duties Will Include
- Purchase and Sales Ledger
- Data entry into Sage 50
- Supporting with VAT queries
- Raising, sharing & logging invoices with customers & suppliers
- Resolving any queries raised from customers or suppliers
- Processing Expenses, Rebates and Payments
- Assisting the MD & external accountants with their month / year-end duties
- Answering telephones/emails and dealing with queries
- Chasing payments over the phone and via email
- Processing CIS returns
- Running a small weekly & monthly payroll
