The Role
As Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring operations are smooth, efficient, and customer-focused. You’ll support the Branch Manager in leading a small, dedicated team while maintaining high standards across stock management, service delivery, and overall branch performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an accurate, efficient stock control system.
- Support the Branch Manager in all aspects of branch operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve business goals.
- Uphold high standards of presentation and organisation in the warehouse and trade counter.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers and build strong, long-term relationships.
The Person
Essential:
- Hardworking, ambitious, and driven to succeed.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities (both face-to-face and over the phone).
- Well-organised with great attention to detail.
- A team player who leads by example.
- Sound product knowledge within the electrical sector.
Desirable:
- Previous sales experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
- Good understanding of the Coventry area and local customer base.
