A leading manufacturer and developer of safety critical products supplied to the defence sector, is seeking a Senior Commercial Officer to join their rapidly growing team to support all aspects of pre and post contract management. This is a permanent position based onsite with some hybrid working.
Commutable from:Â Coventry, Nuneaton, Warwick, Leicester.
Salary: £ Negotiable + Excellent Benefits including twice yearly bonuses, annual leave with option to purchase additional days, life assurance cover x 3 Salary, 5% employer pension contribution, paid leave for armed forces reservists and paid overtime.
The Role
The Senior Commercial Officer will primarily focus on the UK Market and will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing contracts and subcontract agreements ensuring that regulatory requirements are met and business governance is observed.
You will support the full product lifecycle including RFI, Pre-qualification, tendering and contract award and contract performance management aspects.Â
The Senior Commercial Officer will support commercial negotiations and provide guidance on legal and contractual concerns in the process. You will support business compliance throughout the commercial areas of the business and conduct the relevant due diligence on 3rd party suppliers.
The Person
The successful candidate for the role of Senior Commercial Officer will posses a proven record in commercial/contract management ideally in an international import and export setting. Â
Ideally experienced working in highly regulated environments, you will demonstrate strong experience in drafting, negotiating, managing and closing legal and commercial aspects of complex contracts.
You will possess a higher-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline and possess excellent communication skills and able to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
