 A CADCAM Programmer is required to join a Coventry based OEM, you will work within Design Modelling operations and be part of a team who are responsible for the design/development of new vehicle concepts and early phase definition of the next generation electric vehicles. The CADCAM Programmer will contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of a world class UK design operation.

As CADCAM Programmer - you will be required to

  • Produce master milled models out of various materials, including full size clay exterior and interior models, 40% models, hard foam models and various other models within design. These models are achieved by taking data from various areas of Design and Engineering functions.
  • Ability to use software to produce NC Toolpaths for the CNC Machines, the use of hand tools is very important as well as the understanding of the various model material properties and strength which are used for these processes.
  • Have an understanding of modelling to assist in the manufacture of armatures/Models and loading and recycling of clay
  • Ability to carry out basic day to day maintenance of the machines and equipment in order for them to continue to work 24/7 to meet our tight deadlines.

As CADCAM Programmer - you will have

  • Timed Served Apprenticeship with an Engineering background, with relevant college qualifications to support.
  • Capability to produce NC Toolpaths on recognised software
  • Experience of machine controls
  • Be able to set up and use 3 and 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines.
  • Competent IT User & able to work on own initiative
  • Reliable and flexible with an excellent attitude to work
