Salary: £15.00 - £19.50 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.
Schedule: Monday Friday, Overtime Available.
Job Description:The company are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating and setting CNC machining centres. This role involves producing precision components through various machining processes using 3-axis and 5-axis machining centres, with Fanuc and Heidenheim controls, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
The CNC Machinist will work with a variety of materials, including Aluminium, Stainless steel and general engineering steels, and will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines.
About The Role:
Operate CNC Milling machines, 3-axis and 5-axis to produce components according to specifications.
Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs.
Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient in basic math for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
Experience with tooling and milling, is highly desirable. Programming experience would be advantageous but is not essential, programming both at the machine and using offline cam software.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in machining operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
