Ambitek are looking for a CNC Miller for our client a well respected engineering company based in Coventry, specialising in high-precision machining for sectors including oil & gas, nuclear, defence, and aerospace. With a reputation for excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, we deliver complex components to the highest industry standards.

Position Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Miller. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and editing CNC milling machines to produce components with tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:
Set and operate CNC milling machines (including 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, depending on experience).

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

Edit and adjust CNC programs to ensure components are produced to specification.

Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Work with various materials including stainless steel, Inconel, and exotic alloys.

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adhere to health & safety policies.

Collaborate with engineers and quality control to resolve machining issues and improve processes.

Requirements:
Proven experience in CNC milling within a precision engineering environment.

Ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.

Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls (preferred).

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Shift Pattern: Days mon - fri 08:30-17:00 / Nights mon - thurs 18:00 - 04:30 (nightshift 1/3 of rate)

13 - 20 per hour dependant on experience
