A CNC Operator in Coventry is responsible for setting up and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality, precision parts. This temporary-to-permanent position pays 13.50 per hour and offers a regular Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (such as lathes and mills) to produce components to exact specifications.
- Quality Control: Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure products meet quality standards and engineering drawings.
- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from the CNC machines.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Documentation: Accurately complete production logs and quality reports.
- Problem-Solving: Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments to ensure continuous and efficient production.
Skills and qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNC operator is essential.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Attention to Detail: A high degree of precision and focus is required for creating high-quality components.
- Numeracy: Basic mathematical skills for measuring dimensions and setting parameters.
- Computer Literacy: Familiarity with CNC software and controls, such as Fanuc or Siemens, is desirable.
