We are looking for an experienced CNC milling machine programmer/setter/operator to provide technical leadership within one of our clinets in Coventry CV7. Each milling machining cell consists of four machines (3 & 5-Axis)

This is a permanent position starting immediately for the successful candidate.


Working hours are:
Monday to Thursday - 7:30am to 4:30pm (4 Patterns available based on start times 6am; 6:30am;7am; 7:30am);
Friday - 7:30am to 12:30pm(4 Patterns available based on start times 6am; 6:30am;7am; 7:30am);

PayThe pay
18 - 19 per hour depending on experience


As an Experienced CNC Milling Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator providing technical leadership in one of our milling cells with a pool of 4 machines, duties will include:
  • Programming (on & off line), setting, and operating machines
  • Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
  • Produce prototypes / small production runs
  • Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
  • Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
  • Technical support to other Cell members in programming, fixturing and setting machines
  • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful

Experience Required
  • Technical Leadership experience
  • Relevant Engineering Qualification
  • Ideally Apprentice Trained
  • Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
  • Competence in Heidenhain controls and programming is essential
  • Able to prove unproven programs, safely
  • Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
  • CAM experience (Ideally EDGECAM)
  • Working to tight tolerances
  • Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
