Brake Press Setter/Operator

Location: Sheet Metal Workshop - COVENTRY

I am looking to appoint 2 experienced Brake Press Setter/Operators to join our busy and growing sheet metal workshop. You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality panels and components from thin-gauge steel and aluminium, supporting our specialist work in the design and manufacture of bespoke metalwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Amada brake presses.

  • Select and use appropriate tooling to fold sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.

  • Work independently to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency in production.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous Brake Press experience required (training provided for our specific machines).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Able to work effectively on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm (38 hours per week)

    • Includes a 20-minute morning break and a 30-minute lunch break.

  • Overtime: Occasionally required on Friday mornings (paid at time + ¼).

  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave + 8 statutory days (accrued).

  • Pension: Standard government pension after qualifying period.
