These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to making a meaningful impact in the classroom. starting ASAP - apply today! Position Details:

  • Role: Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Coventry.
  • Days: 3 days per week (Tue / wed / Thru )
  • Hours: Full-time (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate : 20 to 25 hr

Skills & experience

  • Key Requirement: Strong classroom management experience, particularly with students who have learning and behavioural difficulties
  • Previous experience in the UK education sector
  • An Enhanced DBS (Adult or Adult & Child) registered on the Update Service
  • For this role will need to use their previous experience to work closely with students who have ADHD, Dyslexia and other complex needs.
  • You will need to be enthusiastic, patient, and an approachable person with a passion for learning and teaching and can provide personal care.

What will you be doing in a typical day?

  • Supporting students in accessing the curriculum
  • Taking responsibility for personal care duties as and when required
  • Supervising students both inside and outside the classroom; assisting with break times, lunch times and trips as well as extra-curricular activities
  • Using positive strategies and good behaviour management to ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Working closely with class teachers and other professionals towards achieving the best outcomes for students

What skills would serve you well in this role?

  • The most important skill is a positive mindset and a passion for supporting students; the school will train you as part of the role
  • Experience of working with or vulnerable people in a previous role; this could include in schools and also in settings such as health care, social care, community or youth work
  • It is essential that you have good emotional intelligence and empathy for students
